Time Flies

2 years ago today I was in London, England.

2 years ago today, was our last day in London, England.

The day was overcast as we went to the
Tower of London. After the Tower, we finished shopping on Oxford Circus. Whitney bought her beautiful purse at Monsoon, while I got jewelry at Dorothy Perkins. I will never forgive myself, for not buying those emerald green gloves. We walked through Hyde Park, and finished the day by touring Hampton Court, the home of the Royal's, and had tea at the Orangery.

The next day, we got on a jet plane and left.

This trip was very special to me.
It marked a new beginning in my life.
I was able to spend 8 days in my favorite country in the world,
with some of my favorite people in the world.

"Do you know the Muffin Man?"

Eating a muffin on Drewery Lane.

The drink of my choice for transatlantic flights.

And my favorite earrings, that I have since lost.

I know this picture is out of focus,

but it is my favorite of Whitney.

My favorite family picture.

Thoughts

So, it has been quite a while since I have updated! It seems like everyone is saying that on their blog! And it is true, the reason is business...darn, life!

This week has been good. I am getting into my new schedule of studying psychology. It is an interesting subject, aggravating at times. Reading through it reminds me of a kid that will not stop asking why. The books starts out with why questions, and then builds on more why questions, and more and more and more....until I guess it will end with the liberal answer, "we evolved into this, and are evolving still." Gah! Just reading about how our memory works and how one college student can, "remember the meaning of 80,000 words, thousands of autobiographical episodes, millions of facts, hundreds of skills, the taste of vanilla, and the smell of lemon" is enough for me to shake my head, and think, "Don't you get it! You are created in the image of God!" Some of the material I have read so far in my college experience, has been difficult, meaning I know they are wrong, but I have to study and memorize this material to get those measly college credits. On the other hand, I am glad I have a sense of what a nonchristian believes, what they are taught. I believe it will help me understand them and win them to Christ. I have been studying from 9am to 6pm with about an hour and half break, so that pretty much accounts for all my business.

Besides college, work is going good. I am looking forward to Christmas Break! I will be able to work full-time and make more MONEY! :) More than the money, I am very happy about the fact, that I will be able to work full-time for Christmas. Christmas is my favorite time to work at the bakery. It is like constant, non-stop, Christmas baking. We are so busy, the work flies by, and my coworkers are a lot fun!

I have been able to get up to running almost 2 miles! I am actually very proud of myself, because I used to hate running, and never thought I would enjoy it, but I am very glad I have changed. I think it is a good stress reliever for me. Stress, is something I have been dealing with a lot lately. I have to remind myself daily, that I need to let God control my life. I get so overwhelmed with deadlines, memorization, studying, reading, working and exercising that I have a tendency to lose my focus on Christ and trusting in Him. I have learned that when I feel overwhelmed, I have to immediately turn my eyes to Jesus, and ask Him to take my burden.

"Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God." Ps. 43:5

.Ahem.

Four things I did today…
1. Drew a dalmatian, a long-horn and a puppy at work (I bet you could never say that!!)
2. Studied Supervision (eek!)
3. Watched Breakfast at Tiffany's
4. Ate Chinese food
Four things on my to do list…
1. Study......always, always, always....
2. Drink water.
3. Exercise.
4. Spend time with the Lord (Now, I don't want you to think that I never do this, I just always like to write out everything that I will do that day, so I can cross it off. So there.)
Four of my guiltiest pleasures…
1. Eating Dessert. Period.
2. Spending money.
3. Letting Ruby lick me. On the face. (Ruby, is my mini-dachshund....for those wondering)
4. Biting my finger-nails (I used to do it a lot, but not very much anymore.)
Four random facts about me…
1. I hate knuckle-popping. In fact, any kind of joint popping.
2. I have eclectic taste in music. I love country, pop, oldies, swing, christian, classical, rock, Celtic, jazz, movie soundtracks. Pretty much everything but rap.
3. I wish I could go back in time. I would pick to live from the 1930-40s. I would walk everywhere I could, and talk to everyone I could. I would try to learn all that I could about that time. I love the clothes, the music, the people, the buildings, the transportation. Everything about the greatest generation of our time.
4. I have climbed the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It definitely leans, and you are very dizzy by the time you have reached the top, but the view is worth it.

:Free Time:

The weekend started a mini vacay from studing, and today was my last day of free time.
Hannah and I decided to do some much needed fall/winter shopping at the mall.
We had a lot of fun, and found some cute clothes!
I think my new favorite store is Gap....I have a lot of favorite stores.
I always forget to take pictures, so this is the only one. Sorry that it is only of me.....

I don't know why I look orange? I promise my foundation is the right color :)

After we got home, I had to do some work, and then put away all of my new clothes (yay!!). Then I did my nails and watched a movie! Free time flies by too fast....

!Zumba!

Once a week, Hannah and I workout together.
We do Zumba!!!
It is soooo much fun! It's an intense dance-aerobics workout with a Latin vibe.
I never dance in front of people, so it has been a lot of fun!
It is a great stress reliever.
We do Zumba for a half hour and then Pilates for another half hour.
I am so thankful that Hannah and I can do it together!
********************************************
Today I also took my HRM final! I am very happy with my grade.
I now have 91 credits! I'm a SENIOR!!!
Only have 8 months until graduation!
Thank you, Jesus! :)
